Each year in September, Bishop Seraphim comes to Moscow to participate in a series of events organized by The Russian Orthodox Church in memory of the well-known Orthodox priest Alexander Men’, who was killed in September of 1990. Father Seraphim always gladly accepts invitations from RACU to come and share his thoughts about spiritual issues with the students.
On the 19th of September at the student chapel Bishop Seraphim talked about the relationship between God and man. We have a great tradition at RACU – right before the beginning of each academic year all faculty and staff members of the university go outside of Moscow for a short retreat. This time of informal fellowship is always full of exciting things: we get to know each other better, play sports, discuss plans for up-coming semesters, and enjoy being outside far away from the noisy capital.
This year new professors and staff members joined our team. We are glad that some of them are RACU alumni, who have a strong desire to be useful for the university. With such a strong team this academic year promises to be a remarkable one.
