 On Tuesday, December 15, Dr. John Bernbaum chaired a special meeting at RAI devoted to ideas for encouraging more academic research at RAI amongst faculty and students and ideas for developing more contacts with other institutions of higher education in Russia. Professor V.V. Ryzhov from Nizhniy Novgorod State Linguistic University of N. A. Dobrolyubova took part in the meeting, and plans were made for a scientific/methodological seminar to be held in March 2010 at the RAI campus which would give an opportunity for Institute students, staff, and professors to present their research. At the conclusion of the meeting, there was a small ceremony as Professor Ryzhov officially delivered the diploma of “candidate of psychological science” to Ruslan I. Nadiuk, the Chair of the Social Work Department. The leadership of the Institute celebrates this accomplishment on the part of R. I. Nadiuk and the Social Work Department.
