“The development of a market-driven economy suggests the constant increase in supply and demand. In this situation the orientation of all enterprises submits to the search for more effective methods of attracting and retaining consumers. That is why management of the enterprise should not be directed by the principle of spontaneous reaction, but instead should be based on planning for predicted impact,” said Mr. Forsman. “It is necessary to step out to the level of actualization of planning integration and control over operations by organizing manufacture with transactions, implementation and finances. An organization has to be driven by only one logistic system, which reaches all organizational units.”

Besides the discussion of different economic questions, Mr. Forsman talked how important it is to integrate Christian principles into everyday and professional life. “A valuable employee, successful professional and at the same time Christian – there is no contradiction in this. One thing does not exclude the other. In fact, they go together. Sometimes it seems that it is easier to give up on moral principles than to follow them. But in the long run it is a losing strategy. Clients, employers and colleagues want to work with those who are trustworthy. If people around you witness that you are successful at work, have a good reputation and, in addition to all, have a prestigious position, then it is a great testimony.”

The time with Mr. Forsman was so interesting that participants of the seminar expressed a wish to meet again as soon as possible. «Due to this meeting I have got a clear vision – now I know why logistics exists and what skills an expert in this area has to possess,” said one of participants. “It was especially interesting to hear about the main responsibilities of a director of logistics. Who knows, maybe in the future I will work in this area.”
