ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS
Chair, Department of Business/Economics and Acting Director
of the Center for Business and Ethics
The person who fills this full-time position will have a wonderful opportunity
to work with international professionals, to help shape the direction
of Christian business education in Russia, and to help prepare young Christians
for positions of leadership in the marketplace of the New Russia. RACU's
memberships in the American Chamber of Commerce in Moscow and the U.S.-Russia
Business Council provide opportunities for practical and creative relationships
with Russian and Western companies who are, and will be, key players in
this emerging world market.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction and support for the program and major
- Teach business and economics courses
- Oversee internship program for Business and Economics majors
- Assist the President and Executive Vice President in the design and
implementation of the Center for Business and Ethics, and direct initial
activities of the Center.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. preferred; MBA minimum
- Several years of teaching and administrative experience
- Experience in the corporate world advantageous
- Previous cross-cultural living and work experience preferred, but
not required
- Qualified retirees welcome to apply
General Duties:
- Serves as member of the Faculty Council, Academic Council, and Chairperson
of the Business/Economic Council
- Serves as member of the Admissions Commission
- Assists the Registrar with student registration
- Ensures the course content is in compliance with requirements of
the State Educational Standards
- Assists the administration with the ongoing development of the department
- Oversees business internship placements by working with the VPAA
to identify and maintain good relationships with Moscow companies, and
with Business and Economics faculty to monitor student progress
- Develops class schedules and monitors student attendance
- Ensures that all requirements are met by graduating
seniors majoring in Business and Economics
- With the Vice President of Academic Affairs, appoints faculty advisors
for senior papers
- Cooperates with the librarian to provide the necessary textbooks
for Business/Economics majors
